<p>The cinema catfight is one of the purest pleasures a young man can partake in at the movies.  First off&#8230;IT&#8217;S FIGHTING!  That never gets old.  Throw in the fact that it&#8217;s a couple a ladies throwing down, and you&#8217;ve definitely piqued my interest.  Why is this phenomenom so enticing?  I remember when I was in middle school, a fight would break out every other day.  After awhile, I stopped caring.  But, have someone yell out &#8220;GIRLFIGHT!&#8221; and all the classrooms would empty of people who wanted to see chicks throw down!  Something of the caveman in all of us, I guess.  Some of my favorite celluloid catfights after the jump.<span id="more-1814"></span></p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="480" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/XFPTpD6Bu6E?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XFPTpD6Bu6E?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"> </embed></object></p>
<p>White She Devil vs Sistah Girl (<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0279493/" target="_blank">Undercover Brother</a>) &#8211; As I could not find a direct video of one of the funniest catfight scenes in movie history, watch the above video and go to 3:06.  You might want to get a beer or an orange soda.  All told, I enjoyed the hell out of Undercover Brother, and not the least reason was this catfight.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="640" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-6KjY4lAU7g?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-6KjY4lAU7g?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></p>
<p>Becky Foxx vs Helga Svelgen (<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115438/" target="_blank">2 Days in the Valley</a>) &#8211; It&#8217;s got one of the biggest ensembles you&#8217;ll see in a smaller picture.  That being said, there are two reasons to watch this movie.  One of them is James Spader as a hitman who waxes eloquent on the importance of one minute.  The other is this throwdown with Charlize Theron and Teri Hatcher.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="640" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VKQNkcSGFes?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VKQNkcSGFes?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></p>
<p>Go Go Yubari vs The Bride (<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0266697/" target="_blank">Kill Bill vol 1</a>) &#8211; Sure, The Bride whips all that ass in this movie, starting with one that might have made it on this list with Verneta Green.  This fight, however, near the end of the movie shows that even an asskicker like The Bride might have a problem with a small, unbalanced Japanese girl.  It takes more ingenuity from The Bride to defeat Go Go than it does to overcome almost any of her enemies in this movie, including the badass Oren Ishii, who hurt her worse, but didn&#8217;t do it with near the style that Go Go did.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="640" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1I4Moi3-g14?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1I4Moi3-g14?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></p>
<p>Yu Shu Lien vs Jen Yu (<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0190332/" target="_blank">Wo hu cang long/Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon</a>) &#8211; In a film that is filled with amazing fight scenes, one stands alone.  Even after witnessing the tiny Jen Yu kick an entire building&#8217;s ass by herself, this is still the best fight scene in the entire film.  The emotion involved drives the action as Shu Lien tries desperately to get the Green Destiny sword away from the younger girl without killing her, which she obviously could, if she wanted, witnessed at the end of the fight.  One of the best fight scenes ever, in my opinion.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="480" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Z-2r3zzZYgA?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Z-2r3zzZYgA?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></p>
<p>Francey Morgan vs Helen (<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0030944/" target="_blank">Vivacious Lady</a>) - My favorite catfight of all time!  It just goes to show that you DO NOT FUCK WITH GINGER ROGERS&#8230;ever!  Vivacious Lady is one of my favorite movies.  Jimmy Stewarts plays a professor who marries a showgirl after one night together.  Here he&#8217;s trying to present her to his parents.  Helen, his fiance, wishes to tell Francey, his wife, to take a hike.  The results, as you can see for yourself, are pure comic gold.  Plus&#8230;check out that judo flip Ginger puts on her in the very end!  Hell yeah!</p>

<p>It&#8217;s no secret that I really, really hate Twilight.  I feel it important as a father to say that my children, not so much.  They were more than willing to shoot this parody video for me, which first started written life without them in it, and had a much darker, but equally comic tone.  I&#8217;m very proud of both my kids in this one, and once again, the camera caught me as director, bitching at everyone about how terrible their acting was, while blowing every one of my lines and turning in a lackluster performance.  We&#8217;re still pretty happy with the finished product, however, and hope you find it as funny as we did.  I present Sonlight.</p>

<p>Above is one of the family activities we&#8217;ve taken up since the children have come to live with us this summer.  They love the makeup and getting to be on camera.  ThatCostumeGirl loves making the kids look disgusting, and I&#8230;well, I just think my kids look disgusting anyways.  The aim here is to make at least four, if not more, of these little shorts before the kids have to go home for school.  Hopefully this will all work out, but here we present out first short: &#8220;Do You Know Where Your Children Are&#8221;.  We hope you have as much fun watching it as we did making it.</p>

<p>Father&#8217;s Day approaches, and to celebrate here at ManWithPez, we&#8217;ve lined up three videos to waste your time watching, featuring some of our favorite pop media fathers.  Being a father myself (and totally expecting waffles on Father&#8217;s Day, hint, hint!)  I&#8217;ve no problem recognizing TV fathers, as TV raised me most of my life!  Okay, I&#8217;m kidding, but the worse the father seemed on TV, the better it was when it was revealed that he actually liked his children.  So, here&#8217;s three for you to consider this Father&#8217;s Day, and please, enjoy!<span id="more-1713"></span></p>
<p>First&#8230;well, it should come as no surprise to anyone that it&#8217;s Homer Simpson.  Let&#8217;s take a look at him here, from one of my favorite Lisa-centric episode Lost Our Lisa.  Proving once again that Homer can be a caring a loving father, here he is trying to find his daughter after he..uh&#8230;well, he let her ride the public bus.<br />
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="512" height="288" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="src" value="http://www.hulu.com/embed/6DX7EPh5zrwktHgCswxyrQ" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="512" height="288" src="http://www.hulu.com/embed/6DX7EPh5zrwktHgCswxyrQ" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<p>Coming up next, well, that&#8217;d be Al Bundy from Married with Children, singing the theme song to his favorite TV show, Psycho Dad!  Let&#8217;s watch!<br />
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="480" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8GFq6usPg6U&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8GFq6usPg6U&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<p>And, one of my favorite shows cutdown before it&#8217;s time, and seemingly mangled by studio intervention:  Titus.  Ken Titus (played by Stacey Keach) is gruff, hateful, and an alcoholic.  He also seems like an actual father.  He&#8217;s not like my father, but he&#8217;s a great character that you know is based on someone who&#8217;s absolutely real.  Check it out, and don&#8217;t be a WUSSY!<br />

<p>Father&#8217;s Day is fast approaching, and to get in the spirit early, here&#8217;s a trio of videos featuring some of my favorite Hollywood tough guys.  I&#8217;m not much of one myself&#8230;Tough guy, I mean.  I&#8217;m an excellent father.  Who else would let his kids play with water and electricity at the same time?  FUN!  Anyways, while I might not be much of a tough guy, I certainly love to watch them kick ass, though!  Well, let&#8217;s have a look at three of my favorite movie badasses, shall we?  Oh, good&#8230;you&#8217;re still on board!  Tough guys and the asses they kick after the jump!<span id="more-1690"></span></p>
<p>Well, the first and most obvious would of course, be Clint Eastwood.  They don&#8217;t come more hardassed than him, and while it&#8217;s arguable which is his best tough guy role, I just have to go with my favorite, Dirty Harry Callahan.  Let&#8217;s take a look at what most people consider to be his most famous scene, shall we?<br />
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="480" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/u0-oinyjsk0&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/u0-oinyjsk0&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></p>
<p>My second favorite man in this category is most people&#8217;s first:  John Wayne.  Well, my favorite movie of his is The Quiet Man (on of the better movies ever made) and it doesn&#8217;t really fit the category, as he goes through most of the movie trying not to fight other perrenial tough guy Victor McLaglen (He scares me!).  Here instead is a scene from my second favorite John Wayne movie, Red River.  Here, the Duke plays a cattleman whose girl was killed earlier in the movie.  In the same wagon train was a little boy.  Duke raises him and later, the two don&#8217;t see eye to eye.  All I have to say is that even sitting down and drunk, John Wayne is scary.  Montgomery Clift and John Wayne is an excellent scene from an excellent movie, Red River:<br />
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="480" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3PvWoWwzKsA&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3PvWoWwzKsA&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></p>
<p>And, just to buck the system, I know that most of you would probably put Chuck Norris or even better Charles Bronsan in this place, but I&#8217;m going to go with someone more contemporary.  Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I love Charles&#8230;and most of you, if you&#8217;ve been around this site, know my personal feelings on Chuck Norris.  But, in this place today, I&#8217;m going with someone who&#8217;s a much better actor, with a much better rounded body of work:  Kurt Russell.  I love Kurt!  He&#8217;s rarely made a bad movie, and even if the movie wasn&#8217;t great, he was usually great in it.  While he played a hardass in any number of movies, I think his turn as Wyatt Earp in Tombstone was probably Kurt at his roughest, and it was GREAT!  Let&#8217;s take a look, shall we?<br />
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="480" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/b56vwZ_oclw&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/b56vwZ_oclw&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></p>
<p>Hell and yes!  Now, let&#8217;s make certain we&#8217;re watching some tough guy cinema for most of June, and I&#8217;ll come back and visit this topic again in short order!  There&#8217;s still plenty of tough guys to choose from!  There&#8217;s Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Roundtree, etc, etc, etc.  Almost everyone&#8217;s had a tough guy role at some point, and most are awesome at it.  So, until that day&#8230;toughen up!</p>

You are quite the little badass, aren't you?!" width="300" height="235" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Why, Dick! You are quite the little badass, aren&#39;t you?!</p></div>
<p>We&#8217;re drawing to a close in our last week of Superhero and Supervillain love here at ManWithPez.  For one last hurrah, let&#8217;s take a look at some videos that I&#8217;ve liked for sometime, and two of them are fan made.  For the most part, I&#8217;ve never liked fan films, but when it comes to comics, people just like to let their natural geek flag fly.  The results, as I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ll see, are filled with equal parts love and awesomeness.  The third one&#8230;well, that&#8217;s just a little something for me.  Mostly because I really, really love The Flash.  Streaming Internet Theater occurs after the jump!<span id="more-1655"></span></p>
<p>I first saw this clip at Dragon Con, on their excellent Dragon Con TV.  If you ever get to go to that Con&#8230;and you should, make certain that you tune in on your motel TV and check out some of the cooler things they have to show you.  Here&#8217;s a look at fan film Fast Times at Hero High (Personally, I love Lex Luthor in this!):<br />
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="480" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2RcrFHfwNh4&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2RcrFHfwNh4&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></p>
<p>Coming up next, another favorite of mine, and another short that I caught at Dragon Con.  Admittedly, as a friend pointed out to me, the movie that this trailer would be showing you would be roughly 10 hours long.  But those would be the most awesome 10 hours you ever spent in your life!  I present Grayson, one of the best fan films ever made!  And, if you get the chance, swing by Youtube and check out the making of commentary by the maker of the film, John Fiorella.<br />
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="640" height="385" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QQyfQ7RMOXs&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QQyfQ7RMOXs&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></p>
<p>And, last but by no means least, here&#8217;s a glimpse of a Flash video game that never finished production.  As you can see, it would have been a pretty badass game.  I&#8217;m guessing that the problem with finishing the game (besides not being able to find a distributor) is that The Flash really doesn&#8217;t have any bad guys that are worth a shit (Besides Gorilla Grodd&#8230;and he&#8217;s a MONKEY!) Here&#8217;s a look at The Flash video game that never was.<br />
