This is my iron kitty. I’ve had her for 6 years. She has a spring for a neck and her eyes glow in the dark. She is awesome!
I honestly don’t know if black iron kitties cause bad luck.
I think all that bad luck superstitious stuff is bullshi…*STUMBLE*
Stupid-ass cat.

We’re sorry to announce that it appears we will not be able to continue the Trilogy of Terror. These things happen from time to time. Therefore, just consider this day a bye and accept our apologies for not getting a review done today. ThatWeirdGirl and I will begin new reviews tomorrow, with a new list composed of films chosen by ThatWeirdGirl. FUN!
For now, though…courage.

If someone had just given the little shit a hug, all this could have been avoided.
I’ve previously reviewed this movie last year, but it’s such a good movie, there’s no reason not to take another brief crack at it. Halloween was, by design, it seems, never supposed to be franchise spinning juggernaut, but that’s just what it’s become. (more…)

Damn! That middle pumpkin is TERRIFYING!
Back when ManWithPez first started lo almost a year ago, I started off on a quest to write at least one horror film review for every day of October leading up to Halloween. I accomplished that mission handily, I think. This year, in collaboration with ThatWeirdGirl (nee’ ThatCostumeGirl) and Chris Gaskey of ChrisDude and The Dork Tower fame, we are going to…well, we’re just going to do the same thing I did last year. Heh. The difference is that Chris has chosen the list of films we shall review. As we are planning to make this an annual event, next year will be ThatWeirdGirl’s turn to pick. Some of the films, I’ve already reviewed, but I’m not skipping out on those. All new reviews will come for the movies I’ve already reviewed, as well as links to the two other blogger’s daily reviews of the same movies. We three are all allowed to review seperate films alone, or in conjunction with one or both other members of the team. We’re all very excited about the possibilities. As you can tell from my (Oh damn! What word do I say here? Uh…Nipples? No, that’s wrong. PANTS! Shit! That’s even worse…uh…uh…) writing. You can expect dissent, as ThatWeirdGirl has already pointed out on her Livejournal blog. I think that’s the most exciting part for me. I’m representing Wordpress, Chris is coming in with Tumblr, and ThatWeirdGirl is using Livejournal as her platform. Anyways, we hope you like what we’re about to do. Expect a few kinks in the beginning. We don’t really know what we’re doing.

It’s that time of the year, but every year around a holiday, I start to notice that some of the fun is missing. Especially Halloween. When I was a kid, every year, it seemed, there was a new animated special (most likely on CBS, who had the best special program bumper of all time!) or made for TV movie or special episode that kept you glued to the television and away from harmful things like fresh air and exercise. So, it is with a touch of nostalgia that I introduce my personal top ten favorite halloween themed TV offerings from years past. I know such things exist now, but I don’t really want to watch Zack and Cody fuck up my favorite holiday, thanks. Here we go, in personal rank order: (more…)

It's the most wonderful time of the year!
Anyone who’s known me for the last ten years or more can tell you that on Halloween, I watch three films. Anyone who’s known me for five years or less can tell you that I try to watch a horror film everyday for the month of October. This list is made fresh every year, the only ones not changing are the ones on Halloween proper. Occasionally, I get burned out, but I press through, because what I watch on Halloween gives me such a happy. Without further boring words, here’s the schedule this year: (more…)
