I don’t believe this pair has ever been featured in anything together, but that’s okay. That’s what we’re shooting for with this weekly article (which, for some reason, nabs my biggest number of visits each week). So, we’ve got a movie star, who’s been in some of the best nerdbait films of all time, and a TV star who’s hot and apparently doesn’t mind being around a group of guys acting like dorks constantly. Kaley and Michael after the jump.
He’s been a go to star for James Cameron. I mean, he did come back through time and father our greatest hope againt the machine revolution in Terminator. That alone should earn him a spot here. But, not so fast. He was also Corporal Hicks in Aliens…the only one of the Colonial Marines, I might add, that had any kind of common sense. But, not so fast! He was also Lt. Coffey, the unhinged Navy SEAL in The Abyss. That’s three from Cameron, and his best, I might add. Of course, everyone knows him as the (2nd) most dangerous gun Johnny Ringo in Tombstone, the only Cowboy gunslinger that Wyatt Earp was afraid of meeting. Turned out, he was no daisy. He also led an ill fated mission to recover Alcatraz in The Rock and he doubted pregnant Demi Moore in The Seventh Sign. For all that, though, he’s proved to be a tenacious actor who just keeps turning up in project after project. Usually as a cop, now that he has a few years on him. I don’t care. He’s still a badass, as he proved in Planet Terror! Michael Biehn! Our only hope for the future!

Kaley Cuoco wouldn’t be here if she was just a pretty face (and body…damn! What a body!). She’s also funny as hell, and her ability to fit in with the anti-social nerds of Big Bang Theory is legendary. She has crack comedic timing and isn’t afraid to get ugly for the camera. I mean, she ate a Chee-to that was stuck in her hair while playing Conan online! That’s nerdcore! That she seems to be the only character that can calm Sheldon, while also being the one most like to draw his ire is something of a complexity, but she’s up to the challenge, I think. As you know, you have to be more than just pretty to be here, and she’s proven to me that she’s a great actress, and pretty damn funny on top of it. Here’s hoping we see more of this lovely young lady from now on!
