So damn hot, my monitor just melted!

So damn hot, my monitor just melted!

Amy Adams is so hot, she makes me want to bite somebody!  And, you’ve probably read what I’ve had to say on the subject of beautiful women that are funny, right?  How it makes them that much more attractive?  You didn’t read that?  What the hell are you doing on my site if you’re not going to do your homework?  We’ll table that for now, okay?  Hot Nerd Crush Amy Adams begins after the jump.

For me, in regard to the hotness personified that is Amy Adams, it really doesn’t get any better than her role as Giselle in Enchanted.  I resisted this movie for a long time, even with ThatCostumeGirl telling me that I’d love it.  So, I gave it a chance, and damnit if that girl wasn’t right!  This part isn’t about skin or lasciviousness, but about talent.  I didn’t know Amy Adams could sing, let alone sing well enough for a Disney movie!  Pair her up with future hot nerd mancrush James Marsden, and you’ve got yourself one hell of an entertaining movie, that spoke a little to the empowerment of women without being condescending or hitting you over the head with it.

If they're in glasses, I will find those pictures. It's what I do.

She had a small cameo in Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny (Indeed, she’s credited as Gorgeous Woman.  No irony in that credit listing!) but it was somewhat memorable.  If you’ll remember the song Master Exploder (if you’ve seen the movie, you shouldn’t have any trouble remembering) there was a remarkably attractive redhead who was in tears over her love for Tenacious D.  Until JB made the man’s sitting in front of her head explode, showering her with goo and gore.  After that, you don’t see her in the scene anymore, and more’s the pity, I think.  Funny little part, and you should see this movie, if you haven’t, but be forewarned…it’s definitely not for everyone.

In Talladega Nights:  The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,  she plays Susan, Ricky Bobby’s hapless assistant who helps him get back on his feet in a big way.  Something about that woman in those glasses just rubbed me the right way.  Not rubbing me the right way, however, was her making out with Will Ferrell.  Why, Amy?  Why?

Pin-up Amy Adams! My heart skipped a beat when I found this.

The girl’s been in plenty of nerdbait throughout her career.  I still remember her in Drop Dead Gorgeous (Which is another film that if you’ve not seen it, you really should) because she stole almost every scene she was in.  She played Tara’s cousin Beth in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which alone would nominate her for Hot Nerd Crush.  She had several appearances on The Office as a purse seller who whisks Jim away from it all (clearly early on in the show).  And, finally, her turn as Amelia Earhart in Night At The Museum 2:  Battle For The Smithsonian was amusing, even if the rest of the movie was not.

She’s clearly a talented, attractive woman, who, I’m told has just found out that she’s pregnant.  Well, I won’t hold that against her.  (You really should have waited for me, Amy…really!)   So, head out and snag a copy of Enchanted, and tell ‘em ManWithPez sent you.  They know me there, especially if you’ve looking for Amy Adams’s film catalog.
